Flights to Delhi, the biggest commercial player in Northern India.
The National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT) has been inhabited since the 6th century BCE, most often for use as a capital city, and vies for top spot as the largest urban area worldwide. Its heart is still Old Delhi or Shahjahanabad though. It can be hard to decide what to visit or where to go in a city of this size, stretching over more than 1,000 square kilometers, but everyone, big and small, stops for a bit to eat on narrow Gali Paranthe Wali, a small street famed for its Indian flatbread. Take Delhi’s metro to easily reach any number of places to go shopping, from the upscale Khan Market to the busy Chandni Chowk, surrounded by historic buildings and places to get something to eat.

Delhi has World Heritage Sites for visitors to enjoy: the Red Fort, Qutb, and Minar. The Red Fort was the Mughul Empire home for almost 200 years, and its sprawling +100 ha grounds are ample enough to house museums and shops, not to mention ramparts and towering walls. The Fort is the center of Old Delhi. Qutb Minar is the tallest minaret in the world made of bricks at 73 meters and construction began in the 10th century. The Qutb Festival is usually held in late fall with Indian cultural art forms on display set against the backdrop of the minaret.
