Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is the main airport of Guangzhou, People's Republic of China.The airport is the main hub of China Southern Airlines . It is located 28 kilometers (17 miles) from Guangzhou city center.
The airport opened in 2004 and millions of travelers from domestic and international destinations have passed through the terminal hall. In 2009, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport was China's 2nd busiest and world's 22nd busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic, with 37,048,550 people handled. As for cargo traffic, the airport was the 3rd busiest in China and the 21st busiest worldwide.
Guangzhou airport is also the 2nd busiest airport in terms of traffic movements in China.The airport is also the cargo hub for FedEx Asia Pacific and many international cargo operators fly to this airport.

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport's Main Terminal features three levels:
The lower level contains ground transportation, check-in, ticket counters, and baggage claim.
The arrivals hall is located on the middle level and contains restaurants and retail shops.
The upper level of the terminal hall is the departures hall and features both concourses. Concourse A contains gates A1 - A31; Concourse B contains gates B101 - B131.
