SAUDIA launches two weekly flights from Jeddah to Maldives
We are excited to announce that the Maldives are now served twice a week from Jeddah, by the A330 aircraft that includes 26 business class seats and 252 economy seats. Those flying from the Maldives will be able to take advantage of the airline’s connecting flights to 120 domestic and international destinations across Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.

Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz airport became an international airport
We are pleased to inform you that General Authority of Civil Aviation “GACA” has approved to raise the classification of Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Airport in Gassim to become an international airport. The move comes after Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz Airport in Qassim proved its ability to operate international flights for five years, during which the number of companies operating reached 13, including 11 international companies, in addition to domestic flights organized by SAUDIA.
The number of passengers from Prince Nayef Airport in Qassim, last year reached 1.8 million, and traveled to destinations such as Egypt, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Turkey.
SAUDIA won best wireless entertainment airline in the Middle East region
SAUDIA has won the award of the best airline in the Middle East in the field of wireless entertainment via personal devices for guests, during a Middle East exhibition for maintenance and repair of aircraft cabins which was held recently in Dubai.
SAUDIA topped the list of airlines nominated for this award for presenting developed wireless entertainment system on board aircraft that depends on broadcasting directly to guests' personal devices.
SAUDIA adds Ticket Purchase Service to Kiosks in Riyadh
SAUDIA has added a ticket purchase service to kiosk machines at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. In order to facilitate and simplify travel procedures, these kiosks are available for guests to buy tickets, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which saves the effort and time of guests having to visit sales offices.
The new service includes the creation of new reservations for domestic and international destinations, and the purchase of excess baggage vouchers. This is in addition to the other services already available, including issuing boarding passes, meal perferences, International visa regulations, and includes a scanner to read passport information. SAUDIA has plans to expand self-service systems providing 163 machines in 79 locations in 29 cities.
