SAUDIA launches new Jeddah City terminal

SAUDIA have officially opened the new terminal in Jeddah City, located at Al-Khalidyah, Prince Saud Al Faisal Street (beside SAUDIA sales office).

Open from 10am-6pm daily, the new terminal will provide passengers travelling internationally (except to the USA and UK) with a hassle-free travel experience enabling them to drop off their bags and collect their boarding pass with complete ease. Passengers can visit the terminal anytime between 24-8 hours before their departure time to avail of this service.

Exceptional services will be available in the new 545-square meter terminal, including 5 check-in counters (one dedicated for special needs guests), a prayer room, baggage warehouse, bag wrapping services and self-service kiosks.

The new check-in facility aims to cut down waiting time and queues for passengers and will also spare them the trouble of traveling to the airport with heavy luggage. In case of any discrepancies in the luggage, passengers will also have sufficient time to make the needed modifications. Baggage must meet size and weight restrictions of SAUDIA to be approved. Any excess luggage will have to be paid for using excess baggage vouchers which can be purchased at the facility or pre-paid for online. Additional baggage allowance for Alfursan and SkyTeam members will be accepted according to regulations no less than 8 hours before their departure.

SAUDIA celebrates 29th aircraft this year

SAUDIA takes to the skies with its 29th new aircraft of the year, the A330-300 Regional. This marks a combined total of 60 new aircraft with more to be added by end of year. At this rate SAUDIA are set to reach 200 aircraft by 2020.

To date, SAUDIA have introduced seven A320s, eight A330-Regional, six Boeing 777-300ERs and seven Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. They currently operate flights to 89 destinations, and have more than 500 departures daily, set to double to more than 1,000 by 2020.

SAUDIA wins 2017 ‘Best Hajj Airline Carrier’

SAUDIA has been awarded for their excellence once again having won the ‘Best Hajj Airline Carrier 2017’. This is the second year in a row SAUDIA have won the title amongst a pool of Middle Eastern carriers.

The award was presented at the2017 U.K Hajj and Umrah Excellence Awards, hosted by the Council of British Hajj is UK in London's Montcalm Hotel. The prestigious ceremony honors airlines that offer flights to British pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia to perform the annual religious trip.

Flights boosted to Los Angeles

SAUDIA are proud to announce they are expanding their offerings by adding two additional flights from Jeddah to Los Angeles until the end of January 2018.

There are currently three weekly services operating from Jeddah to Los Angeles, with the additional capacity taking it up to five-times-weekly. This will provide increased seat availability for students, families and holiday makers traveling between the two cities over the festive season. On the return sector, three flights will continue Los Angeles – Jeddah – Riyadh, with two flights per week non-stop to Riyadh.

In-flight meal selection on board SAUDIA

SAUDIA provide a very satisfying dining experience, and are now offering a choice of 20 special meal selections for every flight. Designed to cater to every palate and dietary requirement, each passenger can choose between a variety of mouthwatering options as well as the standard chicken, meat and seafood dishes.

To ensure your meal selection is correct and what you desire for your flight, you simply need to follow the below steps;

Step 1: Log in to your Alfursan member account at 

Step 2: from our Online Services under the ‘Account info’ tab. 

Step 3: Select the ‘Preferences’ option. 

Step 4: Under the ‘Meal’ icon, select your dining preference from our list. 

Step 5: press the “SAVE” button to ensure your request is saved.

If you prefer the standard option then simply unselect your meal preference and leave it blank. By pre-selecting a Special Meal, you will not have the option to choose the standard in flight meal choice, as you will receive your preferred meal continuously in all your flights.

Connect in the sky with SAUDIA WiFi

Stay connected when flying with SAUDIA with our latest pre-paid WiFi vouchers.

These vouchers will now be available to passengers on both domestic and international routes onboard aircrafts equipped with “Inflight WiFi” only.
